DEEP THOUGHT TODAY

Here your blog posts are shown on your homepage in a typical blog setup. You have a few different options here. You can change this feed to more of a magazine style display or you could even set a static WordPress page to show as your homepage. This theme actually has four page templates that are designed to give you alternate options for a homepage. If you wanted to use one, you'd create a page, apply your desired template, and then configure your WordPress settings to show that as your front page.WP Admin: Theme Options, Add Page, Reading Settings

MLM is NOT a Four-Letter Word!

Network Marketing No Comments by singshinekim

How many times have you been approached by a dear friend or family member with a business opportunity only to feel your stomach turn into knots and you begin planning your escape?

I felt this very same icky sensation in this situation. The key word here is “felt”, past tense. I didn’t fully understand network marketing or multi-level marketing…at all. All I knew was that network marketing was another word for “pyramid scheme.” And we all know the negative connotations to this word when it relates to business.

It took me an open and willing mind to sit down and take the time to understand what this business avenue was all about. I was encouraged by a dear friend to investigate Donald Trump’s and Robert Kyosaki’s book, “Why We Want You to Be Rich”. More specifically, the chapter solely devoted to explaining network marketing and why it is a viable, lucrative, and legal money making opportunity. That was just the beginning of my education. In this book, they compare and contrast the corporate model with the MLM model. It was quite the revelation for me when I understood that if anything is a pyramid it is the corporate model.

So as the bells began to go off and the lights began to come on, I then found myself devouring the book by Don Failla called “The 45-Second Presentation.” Then I moved on to Tim Sales’ “The Brilliant Compensation.” Needless to say, I became a believer.

But why is it that I and so many other people didn’t or don’t get it?

It all boils down to classical conditioning! If you ever had to take psychology in school you most likely were introduced to this theory. When there is a specific reaction, good or bad, to an action or we store that in our brains and we are then conditioned to associate the reaction with the action. Do you remember Pavlov’s drooling dogs? Pavlov was a Russian scientist who discovered that dogs would drool when he rang the dinner bell. All of this because they associated the bell with feeding time. On the other side of this coin, if a child touches a hot stove and gets burned they most likely will not attempt to do this same action again because they associate the stove with pain.

So what does any of this have to do with network marketing? Well how many times have you been burned, so to speak, by what seemed like a network marketing scam? Or maybe someone you know has shared their negative experiences. What we have to understand is that there exists a misconception of what network marketing truly is.

These people who have had negative experiences, most likely had them because they were approached by someone without a full understanding of network marketing himself. Perhaps they came on very strong, almost desperate.

So, what is MLM and network marketing really then if it isn’t this pyramid scheme so many think it is? Very simply put, it is the method in which a company compensates people for moving or distributing their products. Companies generally choose MLM or network marketing because they have a very special product and want to give their product a voice. They do not want to have it sitting on a shelf hoping and praying that people will know how special it is. People are skeptical and they want to know the testimonies from people they trust (members in their network) about the validity of the product.

So, is network marketing a scam? Is MLM like a cursed four-letter word? The answer is a resounding NO! Network marketing is a win-win for the companies who choose this method of distribution and for the distributors who choose to champion the companies’ products.

Online Social Networking Sites Can Make the Difference in Your Business!

Social Networking No Comments by singshinekim

The World Wide Web is amazing! If you need a definition of a word, are trying to self-diagnose a medical condition, buy movie tickets, find the perfect recipe, or connect with old friends, it is literally just a type, click and an “enter” away.

But what is much more amazing about the internet is how you can use it to grow your business…without spending a fortune!

Network marketing, or any sales for that matter, has to do with building relationships.

In order for someone to be interested in joining us as business partners, they must first and foremost WANT to work with US.

People, just like YOU, are looking for answers. The economy is tenuous and people are trying to figure out ways to break away from relying on someone else for their paychecks. They want to work for themselves! They have discovered that network marketing and building residual income is one of the best ways to begin ‘breaking away’.

The point of network marketing as you know is to use your social networks (friends, family, friends of friends, friends of family, friends of family friends…you get the drift) and introduce and share your product with them in the hopes that they share your vision of improving their quality of life with this product and the opportunity that comes along with it.

But… and it’s a big “but”… those in network marketing quickly realize their friends and family begin to want to run the other way when they see them coming!

They may really believe in the product that they’ve decided to distribute, but they don’t want to have to “sell” it.

They don’t want to come across as desperate even though they may be feeling VERY desperate… after all, how much money does a person have to put out there in product purchases etc… before those residual checks start rolling in anyway?

So… they find themselves second guessing their decision to go the network marketing route.

There is a MUCH BETTER WAY!

Why not tap into ANOTHER SOCIAL NETWORK – a network of people just like you who are seeking out an opportunity that will allow them the chance to “break away”?

This other social network I’m referring to is online in cyberspace, but it is VERY real! The best part about it is that it doesn’t cost a thing! Think about it… YouTube, MySpace and Facebook, just to name a few, reach millions and millions of people DAILY! Many of these people share your very same desire to break away and find financial success apart from the corporate world.

These sites offer a FREE (and this is critical when you are trying to build your business on a budget) way to differentiate yourself from everyone else out there.

We are all uniquely-made and as a result have a different appeal to different types of people.

How better for people to get to know you and find out if they ‘click’ with you and want to do business with you than to put yourself out there… your whole self… your interests, your strengths, your desires, your HEART.

Stay tuned and here’s to your success!
