This is my as-unbiased-as-possible review of our Organic Dark Chocolate!
- Certified Organic
- GMO-free
-Filled with Probiotics and Fiber
- 1000 mg of Omega 3′s
- 3 g of Protein
- Gluten-free
It is dark chocolate so has a slightly bitter taste, but definitely satisfies any chocolate cravings! And, with the toasted flax-seed, a nutty sort of flavor hits your palate immediately.
It’s texture is that like a crunch bar… those fun little flax seeds!

Ok, here’s a confession… I had NO idea what the deal with raw cheese was. I honestly didn’t even know there was such a thing as “raw cheese.”
Well, thanks to Beyond Organic I now know and understand the power and value that’s packed in raw cheese.
What makes it raw?
The milk is never brought above a cow’s normal body temperature of around 101.5 degrees during processing. This helps to retain all of the valuable nutrients in the cheese whereas pasteurization with excessive heat leads to basically killing all that was good in the cheese in the first place.
There’s so much more to this cheese… farmstead, artisanal, from GreenFed cowsbut the purpose of this post is to offer you a review
So now to my test taste…
The two cheeses I’m reviewing here are the Cheddar and the Havarti.
The cheddar has a nice sharpness to it and is quite robust in flavor. It’s texture is a bit crumbly as compared to the Havarti. I love putting it atop a nice salad.
The Havarti is a bit creamier tasting, almost buttery. It still has a bit of ‘tangy’ but overall is smoother in taste and texture. I really enjoy using the Havarti on sandwiches or in dishes that call for a milder flavor.
My husband is known at our house as liking his “fancy” cheese (must pronounce this with a British accent!) and I’m happy to report that he, too, is a fan!

This is my review of Beyond Organic’s Reign Infused Waters.
Currently, we have three flavors; Veggie, Fruit & Awaken.
A little about each one…
The Awaken flavor is very interesting in a good way – not the way that people use the word to describe someone’s personality who is more “odd” than interesting!
I think it’s a sophisticated taste and I quite like it. It is infused with green coffee, cacao and cinnamon. Cinnamon, I was reminded by my mom, is great for diabetics… I’ll have to research that and post my discoveries later on!
Now, for the Fruit flavor. This one is infused with African Mango seed extract and Indian Gooseberry fruit extract. It’s flavor is incredibly light and doesn’t seem to be what you would think of as “fruity” – or sweet.
The best thing about this one is what I just learned from a controlled study in the Journal of Nutrition from 2008! Apparently African mango is quite the little helper in weight loss. People in this study lost 28 pounds in a 10-week period compared to less than 3 pounds in the placebo group.
Irvingia, the compound found in Irvingia works in four ways; 1) it helps increase insulin sensitivity, 2) it balances the hormone Leptin which signals your brain to burn fat, 3) it decreases the amount of blood glucose that turns into fat and 4) it blocks the enzyme amylase from digesting starches that would have become sugar!
And finally, we have the Veggie flavor. At first, when I read “veggie”, I thought “ewwwwwww!” But, I have to say this has become my very favorite. It contains quite the sampling of veggies including carrot, beet, cucumber, parsley, celery and Jerusalem artichoke (or inulin). What I like about it so much is where it hits my palate – right smack dab in the center. It’s incredibly refreshing and has a very satisfying, full flavor. LOVE IT!

Now for my review of Beyond Organic’s GreenFed Beef!
I really like this beef, but I have to be honest… it tastes like lean ground beef. I think what makes me like it so much has little to do with it’s taste and more to do with my knowing where it came from and all of the good “stuff” that’s wrapped up in it!
I feel so much pride serving it to my family and knowing they don’t even have a clue how healthy it is! YES!
Because the cows are Greenfed, (eating grasses, forbes, legumes and herbs – NOT GRAINS – on certified organic land) they have a healthy ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats, contain CLA, B-6, B-13 and even K2 vitamins!
The cows are never treated with hormones or antibiotics and are processed according to Biblical standards.
What about the hotdogs?
Let me share with you their ingredients… beef, water, organic honey, seal alt, organic mustard, organic paprika, celery powder, organic coriander, organic garlic, organic black pepper!
That’s right… NO NITRATES!
They have a very hearty texture as opposed to the overly processed ones you find in the ol’ grocery store. The dogs are nice and big and do great grilled or on the stove. I personally like to slice them up and saute them in a pan with a little kosher salt, then pop ‘em on top of a nice salad or sprouted bread! (picture below) I recommend cutting them in half down the middle for the little ones.
DO NOT boil them, though… they lose some of their flavor if you do and they are already pre-cooked!
Again, it just does this mama good to know that I’m feeding my family that is actually feeding their bodies, not ultimately taking away from them!

So this SueroViv, or Whey of Life (gotta love the pun intended!), is a very special beverage. Special, primarily because there isn’t anything else like it on the market – at least not that I’ve come across.
The story of this cultured whey beverage is quite interesting (included in the Living Beyond Organic Magazine).
First of all, it’s good to know what whey is exactly.
I’m sure you all remember Little Miss Muffet who sat on her tuffet eating her snack, curds and whey? Well, the curds are simply the more “solid” product of milk as it is fermented, or cultured, whereas the whey is the remaining liquid.
This beverage line is derived from this cultured whey mixed with our spring water, organic essential oils and juices.
We have Orange Cinnamon, Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade of which I have to say the latter is my fave.
The taste is tart because of the citric acid from the organic lemon juice but that’s what I like about it.
The first one I tried was the Orange Cinnamon, and to be honest, I wasn’t a fan. I felt the essential oils were too strong and the cinnamon with the orange just seemed strange to my taste buds. Nothing a little Stevia can’t cure however. Yes, once again, my sweet tooth has come back to bite me.
But I digress…
Anyway, these beverages are in competition with the likes of Gatorade and Powerade… filled with electrolytes, magnesium, potassium and calcium. And lest we forget, PROTEIN… it is derived from whey after all!
It’s a tough sell to my 12 year-old as she is happy with her electric blue Gatorade. I’m determined to convert her, though, as artificial coloring is just plain toxic. Just yesterday I gave her some of the Raspberry Lemonade and she felt it was a bit too tart (she’s a sensitive one), so I gave her a stevia packet to mix in and voila… SHE LIKED IT! It’s a small price to pay to make sure she’s getting what her body needs!
Here’s what the packaging says about it:
“Cultured whey has been prized for thousands of years – but is virtually missing in our modern diet.”
and…
“SueroViv is a whole food, living culutred beverage that literally means whey of life…… is abundant in electrolyte minerals and B vitamins. SueroViv is a cultured (lacto-fermented) beverage that contains probiotics, antioxidants and enzymes, along with important nutrients such as Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium.”
Talk about good for you… doesn’t hurt that it tastes good, too!
Please don’t hesitate contacting me for more information!

Blessings!
